I felt so dizzy, I could barely see straight. My head began to throb trying to think of what day it was. I just remembered! I had promised him I'd go to the park with him! I start reaching for the phone and lazily dialing his number.

"Hello?"

"Kuro-chan...."

"What is it? You sound terrible..." He knew me so well.

"I'm sick...."

"Sounds like it.

"I'm sorry I can't go to the park with you...."

"Are you kidding? Of course not, your health is way more important than some stupid park we can go to any day." I smiled.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Nothing. Never mind."

"Okay. If you say so, just remember to get lots of rest."

"I will." I hung up the phone and rested my head against the cool pillow.


"Ah-choo!" I was woken up by a loud sneezing sound. I walked towards the living room.

"Kuro-tan?"

"I told you to stop with those nicknames..." He sniffed. His voice sounded so stuffy.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, I think I just caught a little cold." He got out of bed and right away fell back onto the bed.

"Kuro-rin!" I ran towards him. "You need to lie down. It's not healthy to over work yourself when you're sick. Can I take your temperature?"

"I don't see the point if it's just a little cold."

"It could be worse, you never know!" I placed my hand on his forehead. "You feel very warm. I'll go to the store and get you some juice and soup." I sat up walking towards my bag.

"You don't have to."

"But I want to." I turned to him smiling. "I'll be back in a half an hour." With that I walked out the door. I noticed a short haired brunette girl closing the door beside my own and turning facing me. She smiled and waved. I waved back. It was nice to know that we had nice neighbors.

"Excuse me." I asked the girl.

"Hm?"

"Do you happen to know where the closest grocery store is?"

"Oh, it's really close you just go towards your right once you leave this little apartment complex and you should see it."

"Thank you." I smiled.

"No problem." She smiled back.

"What's your name?"

"Kinomoto Sakura."

"Fay Fluorite. Thank you Sakura-chan. I hope we can become good friends."

"Me too, Fay-san." We said our good-byes and I walked off to the grocery store. I found everything that was looking for and other things just in case for more times like this.

"I'm home." I called out when I got home and was greeted to his snoring. I couldn't help but smile again. I began cooking the soup and pour juice in a glass.

I placed the bowl and glass onto a little tray onto a table next to the couch and watched him sleep.

He looked so similar to what he looked like when he was younger. Just a little bit different. I got up from where I sat for a bit and got a wet wash cloth and lightly dabbed his forehead and cheeks. He groaned and slowly woke up.

"Good afternoon, sleepy head." I said.

"Huh? What were you doing?"

"Just wiping you face off with this wash cloth. Just in case it would lower your temperature and sweat. I made you some soup." I smiled and he looked at the tray.

"You made this for me?"

"Yup."

"No one's ever made me anything since..." He paused and looked at me.

"Are you going to have some?"

"I guess."

"Come on, it'll make you feel better... Hopefully..."

"Or kill me."

"Kuro-pyon, that's mean..." I took the bowl and spoon and blew on it.

"Say 'Ah'." I held the spoon out to him.

"What are you, my wife?"

"I'd like to be." I thought. "Or something like that of the nature..."
"Please eat some..." He looked at me for a bit and then opened his mouth. I slipped the soup into his mouth and he slowly swallowed it.

"That... Was actually good..."

"Really?"

"Yeah... Surprisingly..." I continued to feed him until the bowl was empty.

"You know, Kuro-min, that mean's a lot. That you actually liked it... And..." He had fallen back to sleep. I smiled and gathered up the bowl and cup and washed them out in the sink.

"You know... You're nothing different from what I remember..." I heard him mumble before I went back into the bedroom. I turned back and grabbed one of my blankets and placed it over his own on him.

"Good night." I said before walking back into the bedroom.
